Team Lead | Rusty Taco
Status: Hourly, Non-exempt
Reports to: General Manager

Job Summary:

The Team Lead supports the restaurant management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth shifts while maintaining Rusty Taco’s high standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness. This role is well-suited for individuals looking to grow into restaurant management positions.

Responsibilities:

·       Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts, setting a positive example

·       Manage staffing levels and adjust as needed based on business needs

·       Assist with receiving and verifying product deliveries, ensuring quality and proper storage

·       Help train and coach new and existing team members on recipes, procedures, and company standards

·       Support with opening and closing duties, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately

·       Recognize and appreciate team contributions to foster a positive work environment

·       Ensure compliance with food safety and health guidelines

·       Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment

·       Communicate effectively with the management team and team members

Requirements:

·       Previous restaurant or customer service experience required

·       Leadership experience preferred

·       Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Dependable, professional, and a team player

·       Food Handler/Food Safety Certification required (or willingness to obtain)

·       Responsible Alcohol Service Certification where applicable

·       Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
