Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Days, Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday Hours per Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Experience: 2+ years of Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience; Scrub and OR Circulator experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years of Level 1 or 2 trauma experience; Teaching hospital experience will be considered; Scrub and OR Circulator experience required. Description: This position requires an RN to assist with procedures in the operating room. You will work with a team of nurses and surgical techs. Responsibilities include assisting with vascular surgeries and hybrid imaging suites. Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and code of conduct. Skills in human relations and communication are required. Demonstrated clinical expertise in your area of responsibility is essential. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and pushing patients in stretchers and wheelchairs. The work environment is typically clean and air-conditioned. Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, and minimal kneeling or crawling. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who works well in a team setting. This position is essential to providing high-quality care and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
