Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Behavioral Health Coverage

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for a short-term coverage assignment at a behavioral health facility in the Johnstown, CO area. This role will support pharmacy operations, medication verification, dispensing, and Pyxis management in collaboration with the facility’s pharmacy leadership. Assignment Details Coverage Dates: April 29 – May 5 Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm On-call required after hours and weekends Requirements Active Colorado Pharmacist License (in good standing) Acute inpatient behavioral health experience required Experience with HCS order entry preferred Experience with Pyxis ES preferred (training available) Responsibilities Order verification Medication dispensing to units/Pyxis Pyxis troubleshooting/support Clinical decision support for medical staff Additional Info 3–5 days of training required prior to coverage Dress code: Business casual Credentialing Requirements Background check Drug screen TB test HIPAA training Code of Conduct attestation Want to learn more about what it is like to work for SMS?
