Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Every Other Weekend | Start Date: 07/13/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Medical/Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage patients with complex, higher-acuity diagnoses including CHF, COPD exacerbations, NSTEMI, new-onset AFib, arrhythmias, sepsis, and renal failure/AKI
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within specialty as needed based on unit census and staffing requirements
• Participate in holiday coverage as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; strong CPU and PCU experience required for first-time travelers
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only accepted online vendor)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Ability to float within specialty with no restrictions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac stepdown or progressive care setting
• Experience managing higher-acuity PCU patient populations
