GIS MapperGenesis10 is currently seeking a GIS Mapper for a contract position with a Major Utility Company located in Clifton, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Pay Rate: $19.40 - $29.40This role is responsible for maintaining the electric GIS model by processing work orders and updating geospatial data. The GIS Mapper will also perform analysis, create custom maps, and resolve data conflicts. This position is open to recent college graduates with academic or internship experience using GIS applications.Responsibilities:Maintain the GIS connected model with information from sources including work management systems, as-built construction drawings, work orders, and field reportsPerform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports, tabulations, charts and maps from asset informationProduce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requests containing specific informationMaintain service point data and the relationship to feeding source transformerTrack lifespan of utility asset data, including history, inspection and attachmentsResolve conflicting data, mapping, connectivity, and land issues through office or field investigationPerform GIS work pertaining to major projects such as facility relocations, load rearrangement and new businessOperate automated office equipment including printers, plotters, duplication machines, and scannersAssist other employees in plant work, in the field, or in the officeRequirements:1-2 years of GIS experience (school or work-related)Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New JerseyComputer skills in MS Office and other Windows applicationsAble to work at various client locations based on business needs/workloadDesired skills:Experience with MicroStation or AutoCADOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
