The role involves minimal paperwork, allowing you to devote more time to patient interaction and treatment. Key Responsibilities In your role as a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will: Coordinate comprehensive patient care in collaboration with office staff and various healthcare disciplines. Maintain clear and effective communication with pediatric patients and their families, updating them on progress, challenges, and treatment plans. Provide referrals to appropriate services, including additional healthcare professionals and community resources when necessary. Consult with physicians on patient progress and treatment effectiveness, ensuring detailed records are kept for each patient. Examine and evaluate pediatric patients, administering evidence-based remedial treatments tailored to individual needs. Deliver clinical treatment that includes screenings, evaluations, direct therapies, and training or counseling for families and caregivers regarding goals, home programs, and discharge planning. Implement therapeutic strategies that restore and maintain function, enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and prevent the deterioration or disability of patients. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients, which requires a deep understanding of child development and the unique challenges associated with treating young individuals. You will be responsible for tailoring your approach to each child's needs, fostering an environment that promotes trust and cooperation. Your contributions will directly improve the children’s mobility, pain management, and overall quality of life, thereby enhancing their ability to participate fully in family and community activities. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate degree. A valid Florida Physical Therapist license is essential. Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively evaluate and treat patients. A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting is highly recommended. Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques to better serve our patient population. The ability to engage effectively with pediatric patients and address their unique therapy needs. Familiarity with hospital medicine practices to ensure continuity of care across different settings. Preferred Experience Candidates with additional experience in pediatric physical therapy or those who have participated in ongoing education related to child development or rehabilitation therapies are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience.
