Reporting to the supervisor, this position focuses on maximizing equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield. This role is ideal for individuals with strong electrical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical issues while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliPerform electrical maintenance on production equipment while following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols/liliVerify all guards and safety devices are properly installed and functional before returning equipment to operation/liliMonitor inventory levels of parts, equipment, and supplies; place orders and verify receipts as needed/liliUtilize manual and computerized maintenance management systems to track, inspect, and report equipment status/liliRead and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment and machinery/liliTroubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and quality issues, escalating concerns when necessary/liliPerform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeover tasks on production equipment/liliIdentify and report safety, quality, operational, or output issues when unable to resolve independently/liliObserve mechanical devices in operation and use precision instruments to diagnose and resolve problems/liliFabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment/liliMaintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations/liliOperate powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable cranes as required/liliSupport continuous improvement initiatives and participate in problem-solving activities/liliComply with OSHA safety standards, including hazard communication, lockout procedures, and ergonomic guidelines/liliPromote a culture of health and safety in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements/liliPerform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/li/ulh3Who You Are/h3ulliMinimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role/liliHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical or electrical training preferred/liliProficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and interpretation of technical drawings/liliStrong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in electrical systems and PLCs/liliAbility to communicate effectively in English and perform basic math calculations/liliProven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment/liliAbility to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a post-offer drug screen/liliStrong teamwork skills with a collaborative and results-oriented mindset/li/ulh3Physical Abilities/h3ulliRegularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds/liliStand or walk for extended periods throughout the work shift/liliBend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach in all directions as required/liliPerform additional physical demands as necessary to support job duties/li/ulh3What Youll Get/h3pWheatland Tube at Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
