Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations using assessment tools and observational insights.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies designed to meet immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing complications.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy interventions that encompass language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members, ensuring an integrated approach to patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families, facilitating growth and progress outside of dedicated therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient therapy needs to guarantee continuity and quality throughout each patient's recovery journey.
• Maintain diligent and precise documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of industry advancements through continued education and teamwork.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
