The Patient Access Representative is a critical front-line role responsible for ensuring a seamless patient registration process for admissions, emergency, and outpatient services at a highly ranked nonprofit hospital. This position requires accuracy, customer service, and strong insurance knowledge to guarantee proper patient identification, billing, and collections. The role directly impacts patient experience and revenue cycle outcomes, operating in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospital environment serving a diverse Orange County community.

Key Responsibilities
- Register and pre-register patients in Epic for all hospital encounters
- Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information with high accuracy

- Maintain a 95% or higher registration accuracy rate
- Complete, scan, and document all required registration forms in Epic
- Manage registration work queues efficiently
