Location Hybrid – 8 days a month in the office on Mondays and Thursdays. Position Overview The Legal Invoice Review Quality Assurance Analyst (“QA Analyst”) supports WoltersKluwer’s Fulfillment Center of Excellence. The QA Analyst conducts expert peer reviews of legal invoice analysis, applying specialized legal knowledge to identify, document, and adjust invoice line items. In addition, the analyst engages in appeals and mediation, maintains communication with vendors, and provides guidance on process improvements. Essential Responsibilities Review LBACOE Legal Invoice Analyst line‑item adjustments and non‑adjusted entries, applying legal subject‑matter expertise. Decode the legal story of an invoice using required law‑school education or related legal experience. Verify compliance with legal billing guidelines and UTBMS task codes (Fee, Activity, Expense). Make further adjustments or corrections to invoice line items as needed, documenting reasons and cited guideline violations. Follow the review chain by forwarding audited invoices. Process law‑firm appeals: receive, organize, and respond to reconsideration requests; resolve disputes through written expert communication. Prepare written summaries for client or resolution conference review. Support internal metrics documentation and contribute to performance reviews. Additional Responsibilities and Skills Align closely with audit and appeals teams to resolve complex or ambiguous cases. Interpret and condense legal service agreements for operational outputs. Work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating strong computer and communication skills. Apply organizational, mathematical, and telephone skills required for effective case management. Qualifications – Education and Licensure Bachelor’s Degree (required). Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school (required). Experience 0–2 years in a legal services or legal invoice auditing environment. Direct communication with law firms in billing contexts. Handling conflict and appeals in writing and telephone. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Federal and/or State Rules of Civil Procedure. Preferred: insurance defense, civil litigation, international law, and third‑party auditing experience. Tools Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Travel Requirements Domestic US travel independent of assignment. Availability for travel as required. Compensation $75,900.00–$129,950.00USD (eligible for bonus). Compensation range reflects the primary location; actual offers vary by skill, experience, and location.
