Assembler

We are an advanced clean-tech energy company pioneering next-generation fusion power architectures. To support our high-energy laser systems, we design and deploy massive, state-of-the-art pulsed-power energy storage platforms. We are seeking a detail-oriented, safety-minded High-Voltage Assembly Technician to assemble, integrate, and test high-voltage capacitor banks and power conversion systems driving our advanced prototypes

salary: $20 - $21 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 4:40 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Assembly & Integration: Assemble custom high-voltage capacitor modules, rack assemblies, energy storage units, and high-current busbars using mechanical tools and precision torque specs.
• Wiring & Interconnects: Route high-voltage cables, install high-strain connectors, and install dielectric insulation barriers according to engineering specifications.
• Testing & Quality Control: Perform continuity tests, megohmmeter (insulation) checks, and preliminary physical inspections prior to high-voltage commissioning.
• Safety Compliance: Execute procedures under strict High Voltage Safety Guidelines and LOTO practices to ensure a zero-hazard work environment.
• Documentation & R&D Support: Maintain build logs, document assembly deviations, and work alongside pulsed-power hardware engineers to optimize design for manufacturability.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• Soldering (2 years of experience is preferred)
• Blueprint Reading (2 years of experience is preferred)
• hand tools

• Mechanical Assembling (3 years of experience is preferred)
