Director of Software Engineering GTAM

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 10+ years of applied experience.
• We require at least 5+ years leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and resolve complex technical challenges within your area of expertise.
• We expect strong command of FAIR data principles, applied to ITAM (IT Asset Management).
• We need experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
• We need experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• We require experience leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering practices across teams, using enterprise-authorized tools and defined operating expectations.
• We need a strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, resiliency, security implications, and governance.
• We expect practical cloud-native experience.
• We need strong stakeholder communication and influence skills, with the ability to translate ITAM complexity into clear business value.
• We value demonstrated people leadership, including the ability to lead, inspire, and upskill engineering teams in emerging technologies.
• We require expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Preferred: experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale.
• Preferred: success leading multiple engineering teams in a matrixed enterprise environment with shifting priorities.
• Preferred: experience with graph databases such as TigerGraph and API platform design for downstream tenants.
• Preferred: background spanning both platform engineering and application delivery.

• We lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
• We own decisions that shape team resources, budgets, tactical operations, and the execution of processes and procedures.
• We set direction and governance for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation to improve speed, quality, and operational outcomes.
• We establish guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, traceability, and reuse across teams.
• We apply software development life cycle toolchain knowledge, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase automation value and unlock capacity at scale.
• We hold governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.
• We deliver technical solutions that can be reused across multiple businesses and domains.
• We influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
