SRS Accounting Services is looking for an experienced tax professional to join our growing team. We are a modern, locally owned CPA firm focused on providing high-quality tax and accounting services while maintaining the personal client relationships that are often lost at larger firms.

We are looking for someone who already knows tax and is comfortable taking ownership of their work. This is not an entry-level position.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3-5 years of tax preparation experience
• Strong experience preparing individual and business income tax returns
• A solid understanding of federal and state taxation
• Experience working directly with clients and gathering information needed to complete returns
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues rather than simply input information
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• The ability to work independently while also collaborating with the rest of the team
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is strongly preferred

Experience with Lacerte is a plus, but not required.

What You'll Do

This position will primarily focus on tax preparation and review support, including:

• Preparing individual and business income tax returns
• Reviewing client documents and identifying missing or inconsistent information
• Researching tax issues as needed
• Communicating with clients regarding tax return questions and documentation
• Assisting with tax planning and year-round client needs
• Working with our accounting team when tax and bookkeeping issues overlap
• Assisting with QuickBooks Online clients as needed
