Personal Injury Attorney

This position is for a law firm that is expanding to the Seattle area. They are seeking a strong PI attorney with extensive litigation experience on high value cases. They offer strong base, and extremely lucrative bonuses on cases settled as well as cases you bring in! We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join a growing legal team handling a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents and high-value, complex cases . This role is ideal for a seasoned litigator who is comfortable taking ownership of significant cases, developing litigation strategy, and aggressively advocating for clients through discovery, depositions, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of personal injury and/or civil litigation experience , with a strong track record handling significant or high-value matters. Plaintiff-side personal injury experience is strongly preferred; however, attorneys with substantial insurance defense experience are encouraged to apply. Defense-only candidates with strong litigation backgrounds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from litigation through resolution Handle motor vehicle accident cases as well as other complex and high-value personal injury claims Develop litigation strategies based on liability, damages, insurance coverage, and overall case value Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and medical professionals Work closely with experts, investigators, medical providers, and other professionals to develop strong cases Represent clients at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials Negotiate effectively with insurance carriers and opposing counsel Prepare cases for trial and confidently serve as lead or supporting trial counsel Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case strategy, progress, and expectations Qualifications Active and in-good-standing license to practice law in the applicable state Minimum 5 years of personal injury and/or civil litigation experience Strong litigation experience involving high-value and complex cases Experience handling motor vehicle accident litigation At least 1 year of plaintiff-side personal injury experience preferred Candidates with significant insurance defense litigation experience are encouraged to apply Defense-only candidates may be considered based on the depth and relevance of their litigation experience Strong deposition, motion practice, negotiation, and case strategy skills Meaningful trial preparation and courtroom experience strongly preferred Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a confident and strategic litigator who understands how to evaluate, develop, and litigate high-value personal injury cases.
