Senior Cost Accountant

Our client is seeking an Interim Senior Cost Accountant to maintain accurate product costing, support inventory accounting and controls, prepare roll forwards, analyze manufacturing performance, and provide financial insights. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate product costing and inventory valuation within NetSuite. Prepare monthly inventory and cost accounting roll forwards. Analyze manufacturing performance, including production, labor, and overhead variances. Monitor and reconcile inventory balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to improve profitability, inventory accuracy, and manufacturing efficiency. Maintain and strengthen inventory controls and related accounting processes. Assist with costing analyses for new and existing products. Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actions. Support audit requests and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of accounting experience with significant exposure to cost accounting and manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of: Product costing Inventory accounting Manufacturing variances Inventory controls Roll forwards GAAP Required: Hands-on NetSuite experience. Advanced Excel skills.
