Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to our Finance and Accounting teams. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and accurately enter data into accounting systems
• Identify, log, and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
• Maintain and organize accounting records and files
• Review check registers for scheduled check runs
• Assist the Accounts Payable Manager with various accounting and administrative tasks
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Work mandatory overtime when required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and accounting principles
• Familiarity with finance and accounting regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
• Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
