Technical Lead, Application Engineering

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• We need deep expertise in full-stack application development, cloud-native platforms, APIs, data architecture, analytics, and modern engineering practices.
• We need strong technical leadership in architecture, solution design, engineering standards, design reviews, technical governance, and complex technology decision-making.
• We need the ability to deliver sustainable technology solutions while balancing business goals, delivery timelines, risk, technical debt, operational supportability, maintainability, and architectural integrity.
• We need experience leading application development, implementation, testing, support, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
• We need experience using emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development and AI-enabled solutions, to improve engineering productivity and solution quality.
• We need strong collaboration, stakeholder management, communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• We need knowledge of investment management, portfolio analytics, risk management, and investment systems.
• Strong knowledge of investment management processes, investment data, portfolio analytics, risk management, and investment systems is highly preferred.

• We provide expert-level IT technical lead support, including direction, evaluation, selection, configuration, implementation, and integration of new and existing technologies and tools.
• We lead the design, development, implementation, and support of scalable full-stack technology solutions.
• We provide technical direction across multiple initiatives.
• We partner with architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver vendor integrations, cloud-native platforms, APIs, AI-enabled solutions, and automation capabilities.
• We support investment risk analysis, research, stress testing, back-testing, and reporting capabilities for our QRAPS Equity and Fixed Income Investment Risk & Analytics Team.
• We apply sound technical judgment to assess trade-offs, manage technical risks and dependencies, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• We guide teams through complex technology decisions.
• We mentor and develop engineers.
• We establish engineering best practices.
• We review technical designs and documentation.
• We ensure adherence to technology, security, and development standards.
• We influence stakeholders, communicate across business and technology groups, and drive innovative solutions that balance delivery goals with long-term sustainability.
