Production Technician II

Job TitleSets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operationJob DescriptionMonitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications | Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment | Performs all work in accordance with established safety proceduresImpact of the RoleRequires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process | Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines | Works with close supervision | Performs manual tasks according to established proceduresEssential FunctionsSets up and operates production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various commercial products and substances.Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to produce products.Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics.Prepares and maintains required records of production activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues.Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear.Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency.Establishes a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations.Troubleshoots issues related to manufacturing operations and industrial layout.Required QualificationsRequired education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperiencePreferred QualificationsPreferred education and experience: Associate's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Technical training preferredKnowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise.
