Position Summary
The Organization is seeking a Lab Assistant I to support laboratory operations at its Saint Paul location. The ideal candidate will be technician-ready and comfortable working in a laboratory environment while following established procedures for specimen handling, processing, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily laboratory operations and specimen processing.
- Receive, identify, label, and prepare specimens according to established procedures.
- Perform specimen handling and processing accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Follow laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Use laboratory equipment and supplies appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with laboratory staff and other team members.
- Follow HIPAA, PPE, and infection-control requirements as applicable.
- Perform additional laboratory support duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM .
- Ability to work onsite in Saint Paul, MN.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures.
- Color vision is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Previous laboratory or specimen-processing experience.
- Previous experience as a Lab Assistant or laboratory technician .
- Experience with specimen handling and processing.
- Experience working in a clinical laboratory environment.
- Candidates who are technician-ready are preferred.
- Hepatitis B vaccination is preferred; candidates may choose vaccination or sign a declination.
- Flu and COVID vaccination are not required .
- Negative THC screening is not required .
- Color vision is required.
