Job TitleIt's more than a career, it's a calling.MO-SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's HospitalWorker Type: RegularJob Summary:Leads and coordinates activities and tasks in support of surgical and central sterile services.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinates shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources.Serves as a technical or functional resource for staff and performs similar duties.Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and procedures.Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.Oversees utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment.Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATIONHigh School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experienceEXPERIENCETwo years' experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSConstant standing and walking.Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent reaching and gripping.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Occasional use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
