Clinical Liaison / Business Development Specialist

Location: Columbia, MO
Base Salary: $75,000–$90,000
Performance Bonus: Up to $12,000 per quarter
Job Type: Full-Time

Are you a healthcare professional who enjoys building relationships, connecting patients with the right level of care, and developing new referral opportunities?

We’re looking for a Clinical Liaison / Business Development Specialist in Columbia, MO to serve as a key connection between healthcare providers, patients, and the organization. This position combines clinical knowledge, relationship development, referral generation, and business development .

You’ll work closely with physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals to identify appropriate patients, develop referral relationships, and help coordinate the admission process.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and other referral sources
• Identify and develop new referral opportunities within the assigned market
• Evaluate potential patients and determine appropriate level-of-care needs
• Coordinate patient evaluations, referrals, and admissions
• Work with clinical teams to communicate patient needs and facilitate appropriate placement
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource to referral partners regarding services, clinical capabilities, and admission criteria
• Build relationships that generate consistent referral activity and support census growth
• Identify gaps and opportunities within the market and develop strategies to address them
• Track referral activity and work toward established admission and business-development goals
• Educate healthcare professionals and community partners about available services
• Maintain consistent communication with referral sources throughout the referral and admission process
• Represent the organization professionally throughout the healthcare community

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in candidates who combine clinical credibility with strong communication and relationship-building skills .

Qualified candidates may come from backgrounds such as:

• Registered Nurse
• Licensed Practical Nurse
• Respiratory Therapist
• Other healthcare professionals with relevant clinical experience
• Healthcare business development or referral development professionals

Requirements:

• Degree OR active RN, LPN, or RT license/certification OR 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience
• At least 1 year of business development, referral development, healthcare sales, or clinical experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and develop a referral territory
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance
