Mail/Package Services Associate

This position supports by handling high-volume package and mail operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role is responsible for receiving, sorting, scanning, and organizing incoming packages from multiple carriers while ensuring accurate tracking and delivery through the package management system. The ideal candidate is comfortable with continuous standing, walking, lifting, and working in a physically demanding environment with minimal customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming packages from carriers including FedEx, Client, USPS, and Amazon.
• Scan and log packages into the package management software system.
• Sort, organize, and store packages in designated shelving areas.
• Retrieve packages for pickup and provide them to team members for distribution.
• Sort and distribute incoming letter mail to student PO boxes.
• Maintain accurate package tracking and inventory records.
• Ensure packages are processed efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment.
• Assist with mailroom and package center operations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow established shipping, receiving, and package handling procedures.
• Support other office services and mail processing tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
• Previous experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, mailroom, package handling, fast food, retail stockroom, or other fast-paced environments preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using package tracking or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Valid driver's license may be required per company policy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Good organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment such as printers, copiers, and postage machines.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of packages up to 50 lbs. (assistance available for heavier items).
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently between workstations and storage areas.
