Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 1 year of med-surg/telemetry experience and an active IL RN license.

Job Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a 97-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital,
• Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 3 days per week,
• Every other weekend required,
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5,
• Charting via Epic (experience required),
• Floating may be required between two campuses (Belleville and Shiloh) as well as within the facility,
• No on-call requirements,
• Block scheduling is not available,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license may be acceptable - please note status when applying),
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),
• Minimum 1 year of med-surg, cardiac, or telemetry nursing experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care in a med/surg telemetry setting,
• Navy scrubs required,
• No parking costs at the facility,
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation,
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Travel RNs may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required,

• Orientation modules must be completed prior to or at the start of the assignment
