Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) night shift position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and an active IL RN license.

Job Details

• Work setting is an 18-bed Labor & Delivery / LDRP unit within a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 97 total staffed beds,
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM,
• Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines and vary by stage of labor or induction method; postpartum is 1:3-4 couplets,
• Every other weekend required,
• No on-call requirements,
• Floating may be required between two facility locations (Belleville and Shiloh) within scope of practice,
• Block scheduling is not available,
• Charting is done in Epic; Epic experience is required,
• Scrubs are provided by the facility,
• Free parking on site,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; MO state license also required at time of consideration,
• Pending IL license may be accepted - please note this when applying,
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring,
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation,
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required,
• Scrubs are provided - no need to bring your own
