Our client is an international trading company. They seek a temp Payroll Clerk to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain employee records, personnel files, HR documentation, and HRIS data to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Process employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, terminations, benefits registration, background checks, and employment verifications
- Support HR systems administration, including user access, troubleshooting, and employee assistance with HR platforms
- Prepare recurring HR reports related to headcount, anniversaries, overtime, training, and workforce activity
- Coordinate payroll and benefits administration, including timekeeping, PTO tracking, enrollments, deductions, and vendor payments
- Assist with employee benefits programs, open enrollment, retirement plans, COBRA administration, and compliance reporting
- Manage payroll and benefits accounting support, including journal entries, reconciliations, invoices, and intercompany transactions
- Provide administrative support for HR initiatives, employee programs, audits, and special projects
** Requirements **
- B.A./B.S. desirable but not required
- Knowledge of general accounting/bookkeeping principles
- Hands-on administration of employee benefits experience is required
- Minimum 3-5 years of administrative support experience
- Organizational and time management skills required
- Excellent attention to details
- Ability to juggle many tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in SAP, Concur, and Microsoft Office products strongly preferred
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and work independently and as a member of a team
- Must possess basic analytic skills and maintain confidential information
