Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Location: Wichita, KS

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: The Labor and Delivery RN will be responsible for providing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. This role supports a team-oriented approach to care with a focus on patient experience and safety. The RN will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure successful outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period.
• Monitor and assess the health and progress of patients in labor.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Implement labor management techniques and support individual birthing plans.
• Conduct routine assessments including non-stress tests and circumcisions.
• Utilize equipment such as GE fetal monitors and alaris pumps for patient care.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• IFMC or AWHONN certification preferred.
