This independent, physician-owned GI practice is looking for LPNs for our Endoscopy Centers. GAP evaluates new patients, performs consultations and conducts follow-up visits for chronic gastrointestinal conditions. Our offices draw and assess labs, administer injections and monitor medication therapies. We offer on-site infusion services and our clinical staff assist with a variety of in-office procedures. When appropriate, GAP schedules appointments for outpatient screening, diagnostic and/or treatment procedures. Our endoscopy centers are physician-owned outpatient ambulatory surgical centers which specialize in colon cancer screening and prevention as well as a number of other procedures.The LPN will obtain and document a thorough assessment of each patient's medical status upon admission and on a continuing basis throughout their stay in our center. Each patient is unique.POSITION IS ONSITE ONLY.Requirements• Licensed Practical Nurse, currently licensed in North Carolina.• Current BLS certification.• Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience.• Endoscopy, PACU, OR, or other critical care nursing experience preferred.• Previous endoscopy center experience highly desired.• Provation or Epic experience a plus.• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.Essential Functions:Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patientsGathers pertinent health data before and after endoscopiesProvides basic patient care as ordered.Documents care provided or procedures performed accurately on patient records.Assists other health care professionals as neededAdheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.Participates in the development of the plan of care with other team members and safely implements that planFollows set protocols/standing orders/algorithms/decision trees established by the physicianDocuments all assessments, interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, and test results in medical records.Attends monthly staff meetings and trainings.Performs other duties as assignedFull-time positions available with excellent benefits package!
