Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care setting at a Level 2 trauma facility
• Physical Therapy unit
• Average of 10 patient visits per day per therapist
• Uses Epic for documentation
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Shift schedule includes three 12-hour days ranging from 7am to 8:30pm

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• Acute care experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• False nails not permitted
• Any background check findings must be disclosed at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients within an acute care hospital setting
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for travel assignment
• Local candidates not accepted
• Former WVU Medicine travelers must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers may not work within WVU Medicine facilities for longer than a year without taking a 2-year break
• All candidates interview directly with the unit manager
• First-time travelers may be considered
