Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner Job Details

• Location: Portland, Oregon
• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic and community-based patient visits
• Patient Population: Adults age 55 and older

• Schedule: Monday through Friday; 3–4 days per week may be considered

Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience; geriatric care experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, primary care, or a related healthcare setting
• Active Oregon Nurse Practitioner license
• Current DEA registration
• Board-certified or board-eligible
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current CV and professional credentials available for credentialing
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care in both clinic and community settings

Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care and geriatric care in an outpatient clinic setting
• Evaluate and manage adults with complex medical and age-related conditions
• Conduct community visits in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and private residences as needed
• Collaborate with nursing staff and an interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
• Document patient encounters, clinical findings, and care plans in the electronic medical record
• Complete approximately 4–6 patient encounters per shift while maintaining a high standard of compassionate care
