Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a Stepdown unit. The role involves managing cardiac, neurology, and telemetry patients in a high-acuity environment, providing specialized care and ensuring positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
  
  
• 
  Monitor cardiac drips, telemetry, and stroke patients, responding promptly to changes.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the Meditech system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to hospital policies, safety procedures, and unit guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN license.
  
  
• 
  At least 1 year of recent telemetry, neurology, or stepdown experience.
  
  
• 
  Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; NIHSS must be current.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated competency in cardiac drips, basic dysrhythmia management, and stroke care.
  
  
• 
  Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to rapid patient changes.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
