Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Amarillo, Texas patient service center to perform blood collections, process specimens, and deliver customer service. The role operates Monday-Friday with potential weekend hours and offers opportunities for career growth within a leading laboratory services organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other analyses
• Enter patient information and maintain specimen information logs accurately
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and process billing information as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service and perform administrative duties; travel to additional sites when required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training program completion
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Preferred: 2+ years phlebotomy experience in clinical/hospital setting
• Preferred: 1+ years experience with pediatric through geriatric patients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to work independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environment
