Blackstone is seeking a Managing Director–level executive to serve as Global Head of Corporate Real Estate & Strategy (“CRES”) Performance & Strategy within Global Corporate Services. The role carries firmwide scope and accountability, with responsibility for driving operational excellence, governance, execution discipline, financial stewardship, business process standardization, and strategic delivery across Blackstone’s global corporate real estate platform.The Global Head of Operations will serve as the senior operational leader for CRES worldwide, working in close partnership with the Global Head of CRES, regional GCS leaders, Finance, Procurement, Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders. The role is accountable for translating strategy into predictable outcomes through rigorous governance, scalable operating models, transparent reporting, disciplined financial management, and consistent global standards.The mandate spans global Blackstone’s corporate office portfolio where the successful candidate will balance enterprise-wide consistency with regional business, market, ScopeReport directly to the Global Head of CRES and serve as a senior member of the global CRES leadership team.Maintain global remit across Blackstone’s corporate office portfolio spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.Partner with the Global Head of CRES on enterprise priorities, senior stakeholder engagement, and cross-regional execution.Own execution quality, governance, operating discipline, delivery performance, financial transparency, and continuous improvement across major CRES initiatives globally.Operational Leadership, Governance & ComplianceAct as the senior operational partner to the Global Head of CRES and regional CRES leaders, translating strategy into clear priorities, operating plans, governance routines, KPIs, and management reporting.Conduct diligence on existing processes and implement programmatic improvements to align workflows, socialize standards, and embed durable operating discipline with a keen eye on opportunities to implement appropriate AI across the CRES enterprise.Constant refinement of scalable CRES global operating models, tools, processes, and standards that improve decision-making, execution consistency, stakeholder alignment, and service delivery.Evaluate & monitor insource versus outsource opportunities to improve efficiency, organizational capability, talent leverage, cost effectiveness, and long-term functional performance.Establish monthly and quarterly financial, operational, and executive governance routines, including decision forums, escalation protocols, and approval processes.Maintain approvals, decisions, documentation, and governance records to support audit readiness, compliance requirements, internal controls, and risk management.Portfolio, Program & PMO ExecutionOversee, in partnership with the Global Head of CRES and regional GCS leaders, the global portfolio of CRES initiatives, including developments, relocations, expansions, consolidations, major renovations, and workplace transformation efforts.Lead the CRES Program Management Office (PMO) and implement consistent project controls, delivery policies, approval pathways, reporting requirements, and governance disciplines across regions.Ensure major programs have clear business cases, defined scope, budgets, timelines, risk registers, stakeholder plans, success criteria, and decision requirements.Proactively manage delivery risk, dependencies, sequencing, milestones, resource requirements, and stakeholder engagement across concurrent global initiatives.Strengthen delivery predictability through disciplined program reviews, change management, standard reporting, lessons learned, and post-project reviews.Financial Stewardship: OPEX & CAPEXProvide senior-level oversight of global operating expenses and capital investment across the corporate real estate and workplace portfolio.Partner closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, accounting policy compliance, multi-year capital planning, and financial approval governance.Establish clear financial governance for capital approvals, operating budgets, investment decisions, business cases, and executive-level trade-offs.Drive cost discipline, transparency, and decision-oriented financial insights across commitments, forecasts, vendor spend, savings opportunities, and budget performance.Vendor Management & Strategic Partner GovernancePartner with regional GCS leaders and Global Procurement on sourcing strategy, vendor pipeline management, onboarding, contract negotiations, and service performance improvement.Maintain visibility into vendor performance and drive accountability through consistent metrics, scorecards, review cadences, issue tracking, and escalation protocols.Oversee key external partners and reinforce consistency in design standards, workplace principles, delivery quality, documentation, financial controls, and operating procedures.Reporting, Analytics & Executive CommunicationsLeveraging the CRES PMO, prepare executive-level updates, presentations, business cases, briefing materials, portfolio updates, operating dashboards, and governance materials that clearly communicate recommendations to senior leadership.Synthesize complex operational, financial, portfolio, occupancy, and project data into clear insights that support decision-making, prioritization, and long-term business value.Report outcomes, risks, decisions, financial implications, and delivery status to the Global Head of CRES, global and regional business CAOs, regional GCS leaders, and other senior stakeholders.Lead headcount, growth planning, and high-priority strategic initiatives in partnership with Human Resources, Finance, regional CAOs, regional GCS leaders, and enterprise stakeholders.Global Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, influence, and develop CRES regional and functional leaders, reinforcing high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, and ownership.Establish operating rhythms, resource models, role clarity, escalation protocols, and performance measures appropriate for a global, matrixed organization.Build a culture of transparency, execution discipline, operational rigor, continuous improvement, enterprise partnership, and cross-regional knowledge sharing.Strengthen organizational capability by identifying talent gaps, improving team structure, developing leadership bench strength, and aligning resources to strategic priorities.Qualifications:The successful candidate will be a senior enterprise operator with demonstrated experience leading complex global functions within large, matrixed organizations. They will bring a combination of strategic judgment, operational excellence, financial discipline, real estate expertise, analytical rigor, and executive presence.15+ years of progressive leadership experience across corporate real estate, workplace strategy, operations, finance, governance, operational excellence, transformation, commercial real estate advisory, or large-scale program delivery.Demonstrated experience leading global portfolios, operating models, programs, teams, and governance routines within large, complex, matrixed organizations, preferably with a minimum employee base of 5,000+ FTE.Experience operating at, or clear readiness for, Managing Director–level scope, judgment, accountability, and executive presence.Strong working knowledge of corporate and commercial real estate fundamentals, market dynamics, facilities operations, occupancy planning, portfolio analytics, lease structures, and real estate accounting standards.Translate strategy into execution through structured operating plans, governance frameworks, performance metrics, approval processes, and disciplined management routines.Strong financial acumen, including direct responsibility for significant OPEX and CAPEX oversight, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial approvals, and accounting policy compliance.Deep experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and regional leadership.Experience driving operational excellence, business process improvement, standardization, organizational alignment, and measurable performance improvement across a global platform.Strong vendor management and governance experience, including strategic sourcing, service performance, contract oversight, scorecards, and accountability frameworks.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, presenting complex analysis, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.Strong intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, attention to detail, and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position.
