Project EngineerHot JobMilford CT - Milford, CT 06461OverviewSalary Range $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 Salary/year Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage None Category ConstructionDescriptionPosition Summary:The Project Engineer will interact with and support project management teams with documentation on multiple industrial construction projects.Position Responsibilities:Promote, foster and maintain open communication among project team membersInterface with Estimating and Project ManagementReview drawings and specificationsCreate drawing logs and submittal logsDevelop submittal schedulesPrioritize, process, track and maintain submittals and RFIs in a computerized databaseReview and distribute contract document updatesSupport the Project Team in problem resolutionDevelop project closeout packagesProvide support to Estimating on special projectsAssist with Procurement and Scope Package developmentCoordinate with the Project Controls departmentProvide technical support to Project ManagersAssist Project Management with Change ManagementAssist Project Management with project reportsAssist Project Management with drafting QAQC PlansSupport projects with job site visits as requiredOther duties and special projects as requiredQualificationsSkills & Experience/Requirements:BS in Construction Management or engineering/management equivalent;Demonstrates a solid understanding of processes and procedures and resolution of standard and non-standard issues;Ability to work independently and as part of a team;Advanced written and oral communications skills to present research findings and requirements and define appropriate reporting methodology;Ability to communicate fluently in the English language;Excellent computer aptitude including Microsoft Office & Adobe Acrobat;Knowledge and use of AutoCAD and Primavera or similar software;Knowledge of Procore and Timberline Project Management or have the ability to learn new software with training.Physical Demands & Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
