UX/API Engineer III - AI‑Driven Home Experience

Software Developer III Our team, the Home & Navigation team, shape the first interaction that millions of travelers have with Expedia. We're looking for a motivated, curious, and forward‑thinking engineer who is passionate about delivering seamless, personalized experiences across native apps and web. Responsibilities Build Impactful APIs: Contribute to developing high‑quality, resilient, scalable, and fast API capabilities on our experience stack, focusing on the Home screen. Customer first mindset: Assist with supporting Production systems (includes investigating issues and working toward resolution). Quality First: Write automated tests to ensure our code is reliable and supports continuous integration. AI First: Demonstrate familiarity with AI‑driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real‑world products, and safely integrate and operate. Collaborate and Learn: Work closely with your team to design, develop, test, and launch new features, ensuring consistency across all platforms (Android, iOS, and web). Stay Ahead: Keep up with industry trends, suggest improvements, and collaborate with your team to implement them. Experience and Qualifications Bilingual: Proficiency in French and English required. 3+ years of experience using Java or Kotlin with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Good understanding of OOPS concepts, SOLID principles, and domain‑driven design systems. Experience with cloud‑computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services. Maintained projects in production environments (bug fixing, troubleshooting, monitoring, etc.). Location and Compensation The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $108,500.00 to $152,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $173,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance.
