Job ID: a1qPL0000081c53YAALocation: Chicago, Illinois, United StatesSalary: $105,000 - $114,000 + 20% BonusPosted: 2026-08-06Company: Addison GroupPay: $105,000 - $114,000 + 20% BonusBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401kRole Responsibilities: Oversee daily SAP transactions processing and ensure accuracyManage the AP staff, including work allocation, deadline management, recruitment, and performance appraisalsManage the period end activities to meet the required deadlines, including AP accruals, and reconciliationsManage vendor and internal customer communications, queries and issues effectively while balancing priorities of customer service, process compliance, and controlsContinually identify and implement process improvementsApplies comprehensive knowledge of AP systems (e.g., SAP), month-end close, and vendor managementApplies expertise to oversee team execution, ensuring compliance and accuracyOversees resolution of complex AP issues, process gaps, and exception managementDrives deadline-sensitive initiatives like accruals and reconciliationsBuilds relationships with vendors, Procurement, and ControllingCommunicates effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and align on expectationsDirectly manages AP staffAllocates work, sets priorities, and provides coaching, feedback, and development opportunitiesEnsures team meets deadlinesJob Requirements and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related discipline preferredExperienced knowledge of principles, practices, regulations, and procedures relating to accounts payableMinimum 5 years in accounting or finance functions, with AP experience requiredPrior people management preferredProven ability to manage processes and meet deadlinesStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsCustomer service orientationStrong organizational and time management skillsSAP experience is strongly preferredOversee in setting up new or existing utilities accounts on autopaymentReview month end close activities including AP accruals, resolving Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt discrepancies, etcOversee new vendor set up in SAPMaintains process documentationsAbility to work independently and as part of a team Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationshipsExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesMust be able to handle all aspects of Accounts PayableGeneral knowledge of financial and accounting business practicesDemonstrated ability in multi-tasking and interacting with other departments to accomplish goalsMust be flexible, detail oriented, and possess good analytical skillsThis position is an office-based role with limited travel and visits to other offices and field locationsMust be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of timeAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
