Summary of the Job:

The Construction Analyst specializes in commercial construction, real estate development, or construction lending, responsible for conducting rigorous, systematic reviews of commercial real estate projects. This role validates draw requests against verified construction progress and delivers objective, thoroughly documented assessments of collateral condition to the credit team at each critical stage of the construction lifecycle.

About This Role:

Core Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Oversight: Maintain a structured monitoring calendar for construction loans, including advance schedules, milestone dates (such as completion dates), loan maturity dates, and reporting deadlines
• Analyze Risk Exposure: Review construction contracts, permits, change orders, zoning documents, builder’s risk/general liability insurance and confirming title company requirements for title date downs and mechanic lien coverage to mitigate delays and litigation
• Progress Verification: Coordinate on-site inspections to confirm the percentage of completion with RM’s or Internal/External Construction Consultants. Actively participate in site visits when applicable
• Budget Tracking: Monitor budget-to-actual cost variances across all active projects; flag cost overruns, equity shortfalls, contingency and interest reserve depletion for RM and/or SME review
• Compliance Management: Validate supporting documentation, permits, lien waivers, title date downs if applicable, budget reconciliations and verify physical progress through review of the construction consultant site inspections prior to disbursement approval
• Draw File Maintenance: Generate audit-ready draw packages including documentation of all draw approvals, inspection reports, and monitoring activities
• Portfolio Reporting: Prepare periodic portfolio monitoring reports for credit leadership, including pipeline status, active risk flags, and upcoming maturity or extension decisions

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in commercial banking, loan servicing or real estate administration
• Superior verbal and written communications skills
• Exhibit and maintain high degree of professionalism

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally

• Strong attention to details
• Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure specifically in commercial real estate / commercial home builder or construction lending environment
• Familiar with commercial and residential homebuilding and development life cycles
• Understanding of how construction draw request, inspections, lien waivers and title updates work
• Experience with loan accounting or commercial bank systems and automated draw software

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $50,630.00-$83,540.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
