Events Staff Supervisor

Description We are currently looking for aFull Time Events Staff Supervisorto join our Events Staff team located at Riverwind Casino. Summary Responsibilities Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate -- files, logs, records, reports, etc. Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development Maintains knowledge of, follows, and enforces all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Prepares weekly reports Mentors, coaches, develops and assists in training in assigned area Assigns, reviews, monitors and ensures performance of assigned staff for area of responsibility Participates in candidate selection process Assigns tasks and responsibilities of assigned staff Reviews and documents work effectiveness of assigned staff Coaches and corrects assigned staff through performance deficiencies Observes and documents work behaviors of assigned staff Ensures cooperative and respectful work relationship of assigned staff including interpersonal training and resolving internal issues Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines for assigned work area May be required to act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the manager to ensure all operational standards are maintained Trains staff to interact with internal and external customers, patrons and vendors in the most positive methods possible Ensures all staff employees exhibit excellent customer service Ensures adequate levels of staffing Participates in job candidate interviewing and selection process Schedules staff based on worker availability and arrange for contingency staff based on business needs and/or guest satisfaction standards on designated shift and redirects the labor force according to changing activity during a shift Oversees job functions, development and job performance, including but not limited to, annual evaluations, employee development and performance management Assigns daily tasks to staff team Quickly and effectively solves problems and resolves all complaints as appropriate Provides marketing team with ticket sales reports Communicate and coordinate aspects of Showroom events with tour managers, fan clubs, promoters, production managers, Security, MR Vault and Operations Managers to ensure a successful event takes place Execute the entertainment riders for performers, this includes but is not limited to catering, transportation, lodging, equipment set-up, and meet and greets between entertainers and event attendees Works with current ticketing system to build upcoming events in accordance with the outlines listed in the artists marketing/ticketing letter. Once an event is built, communicates all assets listed in the marketing/ticketing letters to the correct artist marketing team Communicates with current ticketing system representatives on any website needs for event builds and errors with the system as they arise Work closely with the all departments supporting the execution of concerts, special events and venues held onsite and offsite Directs events staff in the appropriate manner to provide necessary support for a successful event Oversees the distribution of concert communication (calendars, flyers, discounts, etc.) to facility employees through e-mails, employee bulletin boards and event cards to maximize employee’s knowledge of facility events Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies Essential Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Ensures compliance Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Knowledge of casino based facility software and systems Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate team members Works well within a team Ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments Ability to train individuals or small groups on specific tasks or procedures and engage with different learning styles Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Keeps written records Skills Essential Basic Computer skills Excellent mathematics skills Possesses and utilizes basic mathematics skills Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products Skilled in operating a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment) Accurately type 25 words per minute Experience Essential 1 year directly related supervisory experience 3 years directly related experience Education Essential High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials Essential CN Core Leadership Level 1 Pass gaming background check Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position Working Conditions Essential Pass pre-employment drug test Nonessential Mix of office/non-office settings Event venue Fast-paced environment Noisy May work where cigarette smoking occurs Bright and Flashing lights High traffic area where people may congregate May be required to de-escalate argumentative, hostile or similar situations Use computer up to 50% of shift Sitting up to 75% of shift Standing up to 50% of shift Walking up to 50% of shift Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp Manual dexterity Listening and hearing ability Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception May work night shift May work weekend shift May work holidays Travel is primarily within Chickasaw Nation boundaries Sometimes lift and or carry up to 25 lbs Training It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
