Aircraft Structures Technician 2nd Shift - Cedar Hill Job ID: 1477 Location: Cedar Hill, TX, USA Employment Type: Full Time, On‑Site Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Sheetmetal Technician to join our team and perform essential functions working on aircraft structures. Each day will bring new opportunities for growth in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components. Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials. Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as required. Safely operate shop equipment including brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and related hand tools. Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases. Communicate effectively in English (speak, write, read). Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Airframe and Powerplant License is not required but welcome. Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory). Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting, filing, and dimpling). 0-5 years of experience as a sheet metal technician (Journeyman level). 5+ years of experience as a sheet metal technician (Master level). Must have reliable transportation and be able to attend work every day as scheduled. Understand and implement Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties. Maintain customer‑oriented work habits. Perform all tasks in accordance with safety regulations. Physical & Mental Requirements Lifts up to 50 lbs. Routine walking, bending, squatting or sitting. Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands. Climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas. Stand for long periods of time. Understand and implement regulations and guidelines. Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation. Work with others in a professional manner. Supervision & Working Conditions Work under supervision of an assigned Team Leader. Work is performed in controlled environments in industrial warehouses across multiple departments including Teardown/Evaluation, Nacelle and heavy structural repairs, and light structures repair on components.
