Infant Toddler TeacherCreates and manages an attractive, warm and challenging learning environment for infants and toddlers, incorporating appropriate early intervention, learning and care activities which meet the needs of the group as well as those of individual children and families.Active nurturing supervision of children in the classroom.Utilize curriculum to fidelity to teach children and keep them actively entertained.Ability to input accurate data.Must be able to work closely together with other classroom staff to provide direct supervision of children.Performing duties requested by Supervisor, Head Start Director, COO, and CEO.Ability to communicate (in-person and electronically) with staff, superiors, community officials, families effectively and appropriately.Positive, caring and supportive attitude characterized by understanding and non-judgmental commitment to participant families, coworkers, superiors, and all other persons with whom interaction occurs.Ability to manage time, energy and workspace well in order to accomplish all assigned tasks successfully.Ability to complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, hear, see, speak, and lift and/or carry at least 40lbs.Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) proficient.Ability to casually present oneself.Accountability – Timely, AttendanceTeam OrientedPossess problem solving skills.Continue to expand knowledge by attending trainings, etc.A minimum of a Career Studies Certificate in Early Childhood Infant & Toddler …or comparable credential; and been trained or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Possession of minimum educational requirements preferred or MUST be willing to obtain the required certifications within 18 months of hire.
