Billing Specialist

Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule Review billing data for completeness and resolve discrepancies before processing Maintain billing records Monitor aging reports and support collections efforts as needed Respond to internal and external billing and account-status inquiries Collaborate with Project Controllers to ensure correct billable information Assist with month-end closing activities related to revenue and billing Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement best practices Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience Associate’s degree with two years’ work experience accepted Strong understanding of billing workflows, invoicing, and basic accounting principles Experience with Cost Point Deltek preferred, but not required Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Intermediate Excel skills; VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data validation helpful Flexible availability outside of standard working hours Must be eligible to be employed in the United States on federally contracted projects Cover letter Resume References Satisfactory criminal, education, driving, and/or employment background checks Passing results from a pre-employment drug screen Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in billing workflows, invoicing, and basic accounting principles, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
