Job Summary The Radiologic Technologist operates imaging equipment to make images of designated portions of body as ordered by the physician. Positions and instructs the patient for radiological or fluoroscopic examinations, adjusts imaging equipment and determines the proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each image. May prepare patient for x-ray by administering contrast IV and non IV. Technologist focus on infant, children and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach. Pay Range Minimum $37.00 Midpoint $37.00 Maximum $38.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience • Required: Experience working in an acute care setting. • Preferred: Three to five years working in an acute care, pediatric environment. Education • Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology. Training • Required: None required. Specialized Skills • Required: Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Licensure • Required: CA Certified Radiologic Technician license. CA Fluoroscopy license - to be obtained within six (6) months of hire or transfer. Amer Reg Rad Tech (ARRT-R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Preferred: Venipuncture Certificate.
