Job Description This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. Responsibilities Lead development of new and existing end‑user customers, focusing on the packaging portfolio of solutions, and identify opportunities at multi-location end users in the Food & Beverage, Healthcare, and e‑fulfillment markets. Collaborate with the packaging sales team and inside sales resources to engage on new opportunities with end users and channel partners. Determine sales goals and utilize resources and tactics to meet and exceed sales objectives. Support relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process to attain territory sales goals and generate leads for new business. Contribute to the development of short‑ and long‑term growth targets that align with existing business plans and strategies for greater territory and account penetration. Use a company vehicle; drivers must maintain a valid driver’s license and have a clean motor‑vehicle history. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of field‑sales experience independently managing a specified territory in a private, public, government or military environment. Current, valid driver’s license. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status. Additional Qualifications Master’s degree in Business or Sales Development. Experience within the packaging industry working through distribution. Five years of professional field‑sales experience with collaboration responsibilities in a private, public, government or military environment. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce.com preferred). Strong sales and business acumen. Strong selling skills. Technical/Mechanical understanding. Preferred if current qualified employees of the ISMC. Ability to use financial data to drive sales. Location & Travel Work location: Remote – Cleveland or Columbus. Travel may include up to 30% domestic.
