About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with travel experience preferred. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Previous charge experience required. Description: Labor and Delivery night shift position. Candidates must have NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and ACLS certifications. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery is required, with prior travel experience preferred. The role involves handling a patient ratio of 6 on nights. Candidates should have experience with Cerner charting system. Skills required include administration of blood and blood products, management of high-risk deliveries, and support for breastfeeding. Other responsibilities include conducting sterile vaginal exams, monitoring fetal heart rates, and performing triage of obstetrical patients. The facility has an average of 100-300 births per month. Compliance with all required protocols and procedures is expected. This position may require weekend coverage, with a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team are essential. Candidates must be able to maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control practices. All necessary documentation related to travel compliance must be provided.
