This is a highly active role where you will be deeply embedded in our operations—programming mills, troubleshooting processes, and maintaining safe, high-quality production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.You will own the setup of mills, personally drive the programming with Power Mill Software, and be the driving force behind precision machining that supports our complex manufacturing network.Why This Role MattersOur CNC operations are critical to maintaining exact specifications, quality assurance, and safe production. As a CNC Operator-Set-up, you will:Program and set up mills for precision manufacturingMaintain strict specifications through observation and troubleshootingEnsure quality assurance procedures and ISO 9001 standards are metServe as a detail-oriented problem solver on the production floorMaintain safe, clean operations by adhering to all regulationsWhat You'll DoProgram mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, using Power Mill SoftwareSet tool registers, offsets, tool compensation, and conditional switches by calculating requirements using basic math and geometrySet up mills by installing and adjusting tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and indicating vicesMaintain specifications by observing drilling, cutting, and facing operationsTake measurements, detect malfunctions, and troubleshoot processes in real-timeAdjust and reprogram controls, replace worn tools, and set tool heightsMaintain safe and clean operations by observing all safety standards, rules, and wearing required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)Adhere to quality assurance procedures and ISO 9001 standardsPerform various other duties as required by the department managerWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required (Technical school or equivalent preferred)At least 2 years of experience with CNC set-up and programmingHURCO and DMG-Mori CNC Operator experience is preferredPower Mill software experience is a plusCNC and Plastic injection molding knowledge and experienceStrong mechanical ability, blueprint reading skills, and problem-solving skillsAbility to calculate speeds, feeds, and perform machine offsetsKnowledge of ISO 9001Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of employeesSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentBasic computer skills required to perform department-related tasksPhysical ability to stand, stoop, and bend for a minimum of 8 hours per dayManual dexterity sufficient to operate common manufacturing machinery and hand toolsAbility to visually read work instructions, gages, and monitorsAbility to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 poundsWhy You'll Love It HereReal ownership — your work shapes the companyHigh-growth, global organizationComplex technical challengesStrong culture of accountability and collaborationFlexible work environmentCompetitive compensation401K Employer matchExcellent health and wellness benefitsGenerous Paid Time Off - Recharge with ample PTO, including vacation days, sick leave, and holidaysAbout QuickpartsQuickparts is a global leader in on-demand manufacturing with over 25 years of experience.
