Payroll Specialist - Temp

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base pay rate of $28.00 to $35.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried construction employees, including union and non-union workers.
  
  
• Ensure accurate calculation of timecards, prevailing wages, and job costing allocations.
  
  
• Utilize the Vista payroll system to enter and reconcile payroll data.
  
  
• Collaborate with HR, accounting, and project managers to ensure payroll accuracy across job sites.
  
  
• Maintain payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including certified payroll requirements.
  

• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  
  
• Possess proficiency and hands-on experience with Vista by Viewpoint.
  
  
• Understand construction payroll practices, including Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage compliance.
  
  
• Exhibit high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  
  
• Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  

• Bring a solid background in payroll processing within a construction environment.
  
  
• Showcase familiarity with union and non-union payroll complexities.
  
  
• Apply knowledge of certified payroll reporting and compliance standards.
  
  
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll issues.
  
• Adapt to evolving payroll regulations and internal process improvements.
