Job Description As a Security Guard Entry Authorization in Kansas City, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer, you will help maintain a secure environment at an advanced materials and catalysts location by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting findings to the appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
