Overview Director of Operations – Construction We are partnered with a leading construction management and development firm seeking a highly skilled Director of Operations to oversee their growing portfolio of projects in the Columbus market and across the region. This is an executive-level leadership role for a strategic, hands-on construction professional with a strong background in operations, team leadership, and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership, direction, and oversight of day-to-day construction operations across multiple project teams. Establish and maintain best-in-class processes for project planning, execution, scheduling, and financial management. Partner with executive leadership to align operational goals with company growth strategy. Mentor, coach, and develop project managers, superintendents, and operational staff to ensure consistent performance and career growth. Drive operational excellence, safety, and quality standards across all construction activities. Monitor and analyze KPIs to ensure projects meet budget, timeline, and quality benchmarks. Serve as a key client-facing leader, building strong relationships with owners, investors, and partners. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction operations, with proven success in commercial and multifamily projects . Strong background in financial and operational management, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk control. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large teams across multiple job sites. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
