- Medical Assistant – Primary CareAbout Coastal HealthCoastal Health is a growing multi-specialty healthcare group serving patients throughout the Jacksonville area and Southeastern Georgia. With multiple locations and a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, we are committed to providing quality, compassionate care while creating a supportive and collaborative environment for our patients, providers, and staff.We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care office in Middleburg, FL. The ideal candidate will be professional, team-oriented, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience while supporting our providers and clinical team.Responsibilities* Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication information* Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care* Perform injections, EKGs, lab draws, specimen collection, and other clinical duties within scope of practice* Prepare exam rooms and ensure clinical areas are clean, stocked, and organized* Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)* Assist with medication reconciliation and prescription-related tasks* Communicate with patients regarding appointments, follow-up care, and clinical needs* Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other clinical office tasks as needed* Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and Coastal Health policies and procedures* Work closely with providers and other staff to maintain efficient patient flow* Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful patient careQualifications* Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred* Medical Assistant certification preferred* Primary care experience is a plus* Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures* Strong communication and organizational skills* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office* Dependable, professional, and team-oriented* Comfortable working directly with patients and healthcare providersWhat We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is reliable, takes initiative, communicates well, and works effectively as part of a team.
