Physical Requirements: This position requires regularly sitting for extended periods of time in an educational setting. With clinical opportunities that may the need to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds on a daily basis, as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

Shift: The SRNA training course will be facilitated by Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) with classes on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:45 p.m. UK HealthCare may schedule additional hours outside of class times based on program requirements.

Job Summary: This is an education pipeline program in which program participants will attend clinicals and participate in onsite instruction to achieve the minimum qualifications required to test for the SRNA certification. Program costs are covered by UK HealthCare with the expectation that participants will be hired into Nursing Care Technician or Medical Assistant positions at UK HealthCare and work in that capacity for a minimum of one year. This 8-10 week program will allow individuals to be paid while attending classes to receive their SRNA certification. This program is offered multiple times a year with start dates in February, April, June, August, and October 2026.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: The ideal candidate will be compassionate, honest, trustworthy, and have a strong work ethic. Must enjoy working in a team and be able to communicate effectively. In addition, must be confident and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will also need strong organizational, prioritization, basic computer navigation skills, and a working knowledge of the Internet.
