Material Planner

Job TitlePlans, schedules, and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. This role is also responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures and material control systems activities related to material control and inventory control functions. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering.ResponsibilitiesWorks on problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals.Applies research towards the planning, design development, testing, and completion of projects.Impact is short-term, occasionally on medium-term goals.Continues building knowledge of organization and processes.May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsTypically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.At Bridgestone, you are Free to Be.
